Titus 1:5

For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that were wanting, and appoint elders in every city, as I gave thee charge;
For this reason I left you behind in Crete, so that you would set right what remains unfinished, and appoint elders in every city as I directed you,
For this reason I left you [behind] in Crete, that you might set right what was defective and finish what was left undone, and that you might appoint elders and set them over the churches (assemblies) in every city as I directed you.
For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
The reason I left you in Crete was to set right what was left undone and, as I directed you, to appoint elders in every town.
The reason I left you behind in Crete was to organize whatever needs to be done and to appoint elders in each city, as I told you.
The reason I left you in Crete was so that you might attend to the matters still not in order and appoint congregation leaders in each city — those were my instructions.
I left you in Crete to do what had been left undone and to appoint leaders for the churches in each town. As I told you,
For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou mightest go on to set right what remained [unordered], and establish elders in each city, as *I* had ordered thee:
For this reason I left you behind in Crete: in order that you might set-straight the things lacking, and appoint elders in each city as I directed you—
For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and shouldest ordain priests in every city, as I also appointed thee:
I left you in Crete so that you could finish doing what still needed to be done. And I also left you there so that you could choose men to be elders in every town.
I left you in Crete so that you could finish certain things. You should make right some things that were wrong. And you should choose leaders of the believers in every town, as I told you.
The reason I left you in Crete was so that you would set in order the things that were left unfinished and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you.
This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you—
This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you—
I left you in Crete [C an island in the Mediterranean southeast of Greece] so you could ·finish doing [organize; straighten out] the things that still needed to be done and so you could appoint elders in every ·town [city], as I directed you.
For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest continue to redress the things that remain, and shouldest ordain Elders in every city as I ap-pointed thee.
I left you in Crete to do what still needed to be done—appointing spiritual leaders  in every city as I directed you.
I left you in Crete, so that you could put in order the things that still needed doing and appoint church elders in every town. Remember my instructions:
The reason I left you in Crete was to set right what was left undone and, as I directed you, to appoint elders in every town:
I left you in Crete so that you could finish doing the things that still needed to be done. I left you there also so that you could choose men to be elders in every town.
The reason I left you in Crete was to complete what still needed to be done and to appoint elders in every city, as I myself commanded you.
I left you in Crete to set right matters which needed attention, and gave you instructions to appoint elders in every city. They were to be men of unquestioned integrity with only one wife, and with children brought up as Christians and not likely to be accused of loose living or law-breaking. To exercise spiritual oversight a man must be of unimpeachable virtue, for he is God’s agent in the affairs of his household. He must not be aggressive or hot-tempered or over-fond of wine; nor must he be violent or greedy for financial gain. On the contrary, he must be hospitable, a genuine lover of what is good, a man who is discreet, fair-minded, holy and self-controlled: a man who takes his stand on the orthodox faith, so that he can by sound teaching both stimulate faith and confute opposition.
¶ For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou should correct that which is lacking and set in place elders in every city, as I had commanded thee:
For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains and appoint elders in every city as I directed you,
On account of this, I left you behind in Crete, in order that what remains may be set in order and you may appoint elders in every town, as I ordered you.
I left you there on the island of Crete so that you could do whatever was needed to help strengthen each of its churches, and I asked you to appoint pastors in every city who would follow the instructions I gave you.
I left you in charge in Crete so you could complete what I left half-done. Appoint leaders in every town according to my instructions. As you select them, ask, “Is this man well-thought-of? Is he committed to his wife? Are his children believers? Do they respect him and stay out of trouble?” It’s important that a church leader, responsible for the affairs in God’s house, be looked up to—not pushy, not short-tempered, not a drunk, not a bully, not money-hungry. He must welcome people, be helpful, wise, fair, reverent, have a good grip on himself, and have a good grip on the Message, knowing how to use the truth to either spur people on in knowledge or stop them in their tracks if they oppose it.
For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city, as I commanded you:
For this reason I left you in Crete, so that you might put right the remaining things and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you—
I left you in Crete to do what still needed to be done—appointing spiritual leaders in every city as I directed you.
For this reason I left you in Crete so that you might set right what remains to be done and appoint presbyters in every town, as I directed you,
For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains and appoint elders in every city as I directed you,
For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains and appoint elders in every city as I directed you,
The reason I left you behind in Crete was so that you could finish up the work that remained to be done and appoint presbyters in every town as I directed you.
I left you in Crete so you could finish doing the things that still needed to be done and so you could appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.
The reason I left you in Crete was to set in order the remaining matters and to appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.
I left you on the island of Crete. I did this because there were some things that hadn’t been finished. I wanted you to put them in order. I also wanted you to appoint elders in every town. I told you how to do it.
The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in order what was left unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.
The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in order what was left unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.
For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you—
I left you on the island of Crete so you could do some things that needed to be done. I asked you to choose church leaders in every city.
I left you on the island of Crete so you could complete our work there and appoint elders in each town as I instructed you.
The reason I left you in Crete was in order that you should complete that which was lacking, and should ordain elders in every city as I directed you –
I left you behind in Crete for this reason, that you should put in order what remained to be done, and should appoint elders in every town, as I directed you:
I left you behind in Crete for this reason, that you should put in order what remained to be done, and should appoint elders in every town, as I directed you:
I left you behind in Crete for this reason, so that you should put in order what remained to be done, and should appoint elders in every town, as I directed you:
I left you behind in Crete for this reason, so that you should put in order what remained to be done and should appoint elders in every town, as I directed you:
This is why I left you in Crete: you are to set straight all the remaining matters, and appoint elders for every town, as I charged you to do.
For this reason I left you in Crete that you should set beseder (according to acceptable order) what remains and give messianic s’michah to Zekenim (SHEMOT 12:21) city by city, as I directed you.
For this reason I left you in Crete, so that you would continue to organize the things which remain, and would ordain elders in every city, as I directed you
This is why I left you in Crete, that you might amend what was defective, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you,
This is why I left you in Crete, that you might amend what was defective, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you,
The reason I left you in Crete was so that you would set in order the things that remain and appoint elders in every city as I directed you—
I left you on Crete so you could sort out the chaos and the unfinished business and appoint elders over communities in each and every city according to my earlier orders.
I left you in Crete for this reason, that you would set in order the things that were lacking and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you,
A leader must be a good man, that no one can blame for doing anything wrong. He must have only one wife. His children should believe. They must not live wrong lives.
For cause of this thing I left thee at Crete, that thou amend those things that fail, and ordain priests by cities, as also I assigned to thee [as and I disposed to thee].
For this cause left I thee in Crete, that the things lacking thou mayest arrange, and mayest set down in every city elders, as I did appoint to thee;
